Description

This series contains photographs related to eateries (including restaurants, kiosks, coffee and wine bars and canteens) in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory. It includes places where food and drinks can be consumed except for those associated with hotels. The photographs in this series were published in the Cross-Section newsletter between 1957 and 1970. Notable architects include Robin Boyd. Notable buildings include Jimmy Watson’s Wine Bar. Notable photographers include Mark Strizic and Harry Sowden.
